just watching paterson, the adam driver and golshifteh farahani movie, throughout the movie i felt held in place by the overwhelming layout of the lifes of the people of paterson and our mc paterson, a simple, calming layout yet dynamic in its own right; we get to see how mc starts every day of the week, his job where he has a chance of getting into a multitude of conversations as i see it, however pat chooses to observe with minimal judgement appearing on his face but there's definitely some level of pondering going on in his mind although we aren't witnessing it directly but rather implicitly through his writing, which seems to revolve around his girlfriend laura, a stay at home artist and all in all creative individual who can't contain said creativity as well as skill, her process of creation and in times production is sometimes reminiscent of an adhder; the whole varying interests as well as the intensity of the projects and their value for the adhder. But the thing that attracts me the most to the movie is the relationship between pat and laura, it's such a tender coupling of personalities where pat's routine seems almos trance inducing especially while watching his whole week go by, while laura's "going crazy with it" (not too much though XD) but still on the pat train where she's happiest, their relation seems so free...at least in its depiction in the movie which seems like a surreal split dimension yet doesn't qualify for that description, i doubt this is independent of jim jaramusch's direction as i've seen how other couples in his movies interact with such tenderness towards each other
